Terms and conditions
On this
page we would like to familiarise you with our general terms and conditions in
Cape Town. Our South Africa travel agency serves as agents in respect to shark
tours. We in general assume no liability for any damage, loss, theft, injury,
death, unexpected delays or irregularities caused by damage during shark tours,
for other reasons, or by actions of private individuals / agency who are
responsible for carrying out the tours.

We reserve
the right to amend travel plans and timetables without prior notification as
well as carry out or implement variations or changes in shark tours and travel
plans etc. without liability.
Land and Sea Animal Safaris
Our shark
tours involve the observation of sea animals and we can never at any point
guarantee wildlife sightings. It should also be made clear that any land or sea
safari can never offer any guarantee of wildlife sightings.
When cage
diving we travel to areas where we know Great White sharks reside. This region
often alternates according to the season and we therefore do not determine the
exact location of our cage dive beforehand!
Photography Equipment – Baggage
- We assume
no responsibility for any luggage, clothing or photography equipment.
- Luggage is limited to 5 kg per person.
- Film crews should advise us in advance as to the size and weight of baggage,
especially if we are to arrange for collection
- In general, you will receive telephonic confirmation on
the evening before the day tour -
especially with shark tours.
As
indicated in the tour program, travel expenses and prices quoted do not include
entrance fees to game reserves. All additional costs are for the passenger's
account. The Ritztrade International contract or booking confirmation which
generally includes all particulars and times is binding.
Helicopter flight to Gansbaai - Flying over National Parks
It is not
permitted to fly over national parks with a helicopter, this includes Table Mountain
National Park and other game reserves. Even when whale or shark watching by
helicopter, a great distance is maintained as we do not wish to frighten the
animals. It should be made clear in advance that penguins, seals, whales and
sharks may appear '' SMALL '' from a great height!
Payment terms
- Day
flights - Credit card information or 100% payment compulsory
- For shark
tours a deposit of 50% of the total price is payable upon receipt of the
booking confirmation.
- For
fly-in safaris a 50% deposit for the Game Reserve is payable.
- For tours
with overnight stays a deposit of 50% of the total price is payable upon
receipt of the booking confirmation.
- The
balance is due 21 days prior to departure.
Cancellation of shark tours due to bad weather
Should a
shark tour be cancelled due to poor weather conditions, we will be sure to
provide you with an alternative tour time, possibly being scheduled for the
very same day, as the weather in the Cape can change quickly. In the event that
the weather does not improve, we will schedule your flight for the following
day. Should this date not fit in with your travel plans, you will receive a
100% refund!
Particulars:
– All
cancellations, notices of defects or complaints should be sent to us in writing
by registered letter. Exceptions in this case will be emails where Ritztrade
International accepts and confirms the cancellation.
– Through
the booking and confirmation of our documentation as well as deposit payment,
the client accepts the terms and conditions of Ritztrade International.
Ritztrade
International is entitled to convey amendments to the terms and conditions in
the booking or order confirmation.
